At the webpage of Rogaland Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Lungs:

"Life as a couple is, as we know, a difficult exercise, and living with a partner definitely isn't easy these days. Should we get married? Have children? Do we dare to? Do we want to? Can we even allow ourselves to have a child when the world, as it is, is over-populated? Having a child corresponds to exterminating 250 000 trees or flying 2500 times across The Atlantic, for instance. On the other side: What would happen to the planet if all climate-conscious people stopped having children?

In other words: The couple we meet in Lungs has much to struggle with. Through them, the English playwright Duncan Macmillan has given a voice to a whole generation, a generation with much more freedom than before- but also many more dilemmas and choices. Through a series of scenes quick as lightening, we follow the couple through all phases of their life together, from the very first thought of having a child surfaces- in a queue at IKEA! - until the breakup, the pregnancy, the birth and old age. All while the climate catastrophe looms.

Lungs is the love story you haven't yet seen: A funny and moving story of the times we live in, about love and other disasters."
