The outspoken male duo Toyboys raises the subject of degradation in the dance performance Non Stop - Soundless

They say: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all humans are created equal and with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, choice of gender identity, liberty and pursuit of happiness."

Toyboys (alias Terje Tjøme Mossige and Ulf Nilseng) wants to develop dance in meeting with the form of conversation in Non Stop - Soundless, a performance about how humans experience and live with degradation.

This is done with the French writer Jean Genet's book The Maids at hand, and as a game between fiction and reality. This creates uncertainty in what is true and what is construction, concoctions and damn lies.

What does it mean that something is authentic, and where are the borders between the autobiographical and the fictional? The point is creating uncertainty in the audience come to the accountability of the play's content.

The production is supported by Arts Council Norway and The Fund for Performing Artists. It is co-produced in collaboration with Danza-teatro Retazos in Havana, Cuba and Dansens Hus in Oslo.

Non stop – soundless is the first part of the trilogy Toyboys goes queer writers. In the second part, The man at the tramstop, Toyboys worked with Alf Prøysen and in the third part, To be natural is such a very difficult pose to keep up, with Oscar Wilde in addition to the philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty.
