Transit

Transit by Teater Polkadot was visually poetic and humourous performance with a stylized physical expression about how it may be to meet oneself in one’s own mirrored reflection. Transit was a purely physical theatre performance directed by French Yves Marc. Marc was educated by Etienne Decroux, the founder of Corporeal Mime.

In Transit the audience met two women who both were absorbed with their personal visions for life, struggling with insufficient time and being personally insufficient in meeting the challenges of everyday life. The basis was everyday situations made into more abstract choreographies.

Transit was mostly about adult life and problems, but it used irony come to priorities and showed vulnerability, dreams and longings. The dramatic quality first and foremost lay in the physical images the bodies created together and individually.
