Mannen som ikke kunne le* (The man who could not laugh) (1994) was an action by Tone Avenstroup, Erik Balke and Niko Tenten.

Tone Avenstroup provides the following information about the project:

"A food event in our favourite bar with a live broadcast from the kitchen. The preparations for a several course evening meal were projected on the window. The work could be observed from the street. The guests enjoyed fish with music adjusted for the event. The menu consisted of fish steeped in lye and brought by plane from Kabelvåg, and the action took place in Café Torpedokäfer, Berlin."
