Osperheimkomplekset* (The Aspen Home Complex) was performed in a tree in the park Kristparken in Hammersborg in Oslo. The tree hut was built over four levels, nine meters above ground at max, without one nail in the tree. The architects Talleraas, Arnhoff & Nango were behind the construction. The tree hut and the production were made at the same time. During the performance period three performances a day were shown.

"Osperheimkomplekset examines, in its own way, the things we surround us with, our often contradictory relationship to our surroundings and to nature. How can our future so-called sustainable life play out?"

(quote Claire de Wangen: http://www.dewangen.com/osperheimkomplekset_hva.html)

Claire de Wangen is concerned with what happens when one places a fictional story to a place not belonging to fiction. She is behind a number of productions connected to different sites, linked up to fictional stories composed by herself.

Press coverage

Lisa Marie Nagel, barnebokkritikk.no, Intimteater i trehytte i Oslo sentrum (literally: Intimate theatre in a tree hut in the centre of Oslo), June 2011, http://www.barnebokkritikk.no/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=96:

"As an installation Claire de Wangen's tree hut is without doubt very successful, but as theatre performance, or performing arts event, it limps a little. Time-demanding transport between the different levels of the hut makes the time move slowly, and the complicated story makes the performance more of a statement than experienced reality."
