In Jack and the Beanstalk by Turnékompaniet the audience meets Jack and his mother, who live in a small English village which is terrorised by a giant. When their cow no longer gives milk Jack needs to take it to the market to sell it. Five beans are all he gets for it, but it turns out that the beans weren’t any old beans. When they are planted a beanstalk starts growing and it grows all the way over the clouds to where the giant lives. Jack climbs the beanstalk.
