"An old puppetry maker and woodcarver wishes he had a son. So strong is this wish that the puppet he is working to make for The Royal Theatre becomes alive. Immediately the old man begins to tell his 'son' stories. The wooden puppet (and the audience) gets to hear three stories; Ola og Blakken (literally: Ola and Horsey), Prinsen på erten (literally: The Prince and the Pea) and Per Pølse og beibi'n (literally: Per Sausage and the Baby)

Three stories with puppets made of tree. As we know: All that is good comes in threes."

Alle gode ting er tre* (All That Is Good Comes in Threes) by Levende Dukker was puppetry theatre and narrative theatre about an old wood carver wishing he had a son. He experiences the same thing Geppetto did: That the puppet he is carving comes alive. He immediately begins to tell his new son the fairytales he was taught by his own father.

Press coverage

Ole Foss. Romsdals Budstikke, 22.09.2008:

"Something all magical arises onstage and between stage and audience when good puppetry is performed. Knut Alfsen has this magic and now he is to please children in the Molde area through a little tour. Saturday he spellbound the big ones and the small ones in a nice, dramatic and involving half hour at Forum. By the way it may have lasted longer than that, but time went swiftly with Knut, the wooden puppet Entel and several other figures."
