Maria Christensen

Maria Christensen is a production by Turnékompaniet after a text by Cecilie Pran. With Maria Christensen Turnékompaniet and the writer aim to focus on the correlation between the patient/user needs and the competence/lack of competence in health care, plus the economic framework surrounding the complex issue. The one-act play can be performed independently, but it can also be used as a pretext for debate during seminars, for instance.

More

Maria Christensen by Turnékompaniet is about mentally ill Maria. While the New Year’s fireworks explode she is thrown out crying from the hospital she has fought so hard to get into.

In the production Maria Christensen the audience follows Maria from she discovers her own need for help, through her meetings with a variety of doctors, until the police has her hospitalised. Maria says it in a simple enough manner: I don’t want medication. I want to be taken care of.

"Splendidly acted!"
