Ghosts
Ghosts was a theatre production staged by The National Theatre in 1972, based on the play by Henrik Ibsen. The production was staged in The National Theatre's venue Amfiscenen, The Amphi Stage.
Pål Løkkeberg directed it and was given The Norwegian Critics' Award 1973 for his efforts.
Helen Brichmann interpreted the role of Helene Alving.
Svein Sturla Hungnes interpreted the role of Osvald Alving.
Ghosts by The National Theatre was performed during Bergen International Festival in 1973. The production also went on tour (11 performances).
The production was revived February 6 1978. During this run it was performed 48 times, as part of the celebrations of The Ibsen Jubilee. In 1978, 150 years had passed from the birth of Ibsen.
Ghosts also went on tour with The Norwegian Touring Theatre in the winter of 1978, 21 performances.
