Lost Angels

Lost Angels is Studium Actoris' 20th production. The production is without speech. Lost Angels is about a meeting between angels and humans. It is inspired by Wim Wenders' movie Wings of Desire, a movie that has been called both a tribute to life and irony over the religion's faith in life after death.

On the webpage of Studium Actoris the following, among other things, is written about Lost Angels:

"The angels have an eternal "non-life", a spiritual, light existence without worry or risk. But when angels and humans meet, the impossible happen, the unexpected, the beautiful and the terrible. Wim Wenders cut some of the more humorous sides of the angels. Studium Actoris picks up these very sides. The company brings forth the playfulness and joking, taking it one step further - into its own distinct, unpredictable universe."

Hubert Giraud & Jean Dréjac, Tom Waits, Johann S. Bach, Richard Strauss, Vittorio Monti, France & Arr Prizeman, César Franck, Philip Glass, György Ligeti.

Press coverage

Fredriksstad Blad:

"Jannicke Stensnes and Paolo Martini both are experienced, clear and confident actors mastering the genre they have taken a chance on. Theatre without speech, with elements of pantomime, circus technique and tableaus well underlined by catchy music and visual effects as sounds to movements. (...) And playful is a central keyword in describing this performance. It is creative as well as special in all expressions."
