«Welcome to the performance SHOUT by Jens Trinidad and Marcus Amadeus at Scenehuset in Oslo.

SHOUT is a collaboration between the dancer Jens Trinidad and the musician Marcus Amadeus. They come together with a shared interest in how music, sound, and vibrations function as the "holy spirit" that inhabits the body, influences it, and shapes it. SHOUT draws inspiration from lamentations, "praise breaks," club music, and dance-offs to find its own rhythmic drive and transcendent flow.

________________________________________________About the performers:
Jens Jeffry Trinidad is a Norwegian-Filipino performing and creative dance artist, with a background from X-RayUKH in Oslo, where he started in hip-hop/street dance in the late 90s. He has worked with artists such as Hooman Sharifi/impure Company, Elle Sofe Sara, Rosalind Goldberg, Manuel Pelmus, Panta Rei Danseteater, Bounce, Twisted Feet, Deep Down Dopeizm, and more. This is his first solo production, which is a reworking of his practice and artistry. Jens has choreographed his own pieces with the crew Cre-8 and for other educational institutions. His practice is interested in the physicality of the body through his background, by extracting, constructing, and reconstructing the vocabulary, principles, and constellations of street dance.

Marcus Amadeus is a self-taught musician and composer from Portugal. He grew up in the urban area of Odivelas, surrounded by hip-hop culture in dance, music, and graffiti. He became interested in sampling and looping in the early 2000s. He produces, composes, and performs in his own and others' projects. In 2021, he released his first solo album, "Portal".
