Hidden underneath a playful expression Tvekampen* (The Duel) by Turnékompaniet has a pretty advanced dramaturgy and takes use of many kinds of storytelling techniques, plus stage combat with shields and swords, dried cod and troubadour’s poems.

Tvekampen starts the last day of the parliament gathering: Everything has gone according to plan and without troubles. Grim is the boss of this society. He is the reader of laws and he feels as if he is in control of most. People seem satisfied. The only thing bothering him is the man in the corner who has been sitting all week with his head hidden in a cap, looking mysterious. All of a sudden the stranger gets up.

In Tvekampen by Turnékompaniet the audience gets to join the duel between Grim and the mysterious stranger. The background for the battle is revealed in retrospect.
