The story of the little old man

The story of the little old man (1996) was a theatre production by Sampo Teater, The Arctic Theatre and Tromsø Symphony Orchestra. The story of the little old man was based on a book by Barbro Lindgren, adapted for theatre by Tomas von Brömssen and Lars Eric Brossner.

Øyvind Frøyland directed it.

The story of the little old man toured the counties of Troms and Finnmark after its run in Tromsø, as part of The Arctic Theatre's celebration of its 25th anniversary.

The story of the little old man is about a lonely little man and his meeting with a dog, about their friendship and relationship, during which the small things of life provide much joy as well as deep sorrow.
