StøpeSkien

StøpeSkien is the Ibsen project for children and youth led by the Municipality of Skien. StøpeSkien’s objective is to let the children and youth get to know a great artist’s life and work and to let the children and youth partake in the communication of it.

Since 2000, StøpeSkien has worked on presenting Ibsen locally. Now the vision of StøpeSkien is to become a national Ibsen centre for children and youth.

The name StøpeSkien is a wordplay combining the names of The "Peer Gynt" character The Button Moulder’s ladle (in Norwegian: Støpeskjeen) and of the municipality of Skien.
