Yngvar Julin was nominated for The Hedda Award 2001 in the best visual design category for his stage design for The Last Boat, produced by Sogn og Fjordane Theatre (SoFT).

Again Yngvar Julin was nominated for The Hedda Award 2003 in the best visual design category for the stage design for The Flood by Tom Remlov/Jonny Halberg at Ibsen Theatre.

He has also been responsible for the stage design for The Wish or Loftur the Sorcerer at Sogn og Fjordane Theatre, but also Jeppe of the Hill at Ibsen Theatre, plus !Bang Productions' Pippi/A Girl at The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater), 2003.
