Signe Becker has worked as a stage designer for several Norwegian dance and theatre companies, including Verk Produksjoner AKA Verk Productions, Fiksdal/Lie and Transitteatret - Bergen.

Signe Becker was nominated for The Hedda Award 2013 in the best stage design/costume design category for her stage design for Stalker by Verk Produksjoner AKA Verk Productions, co-produced by Black Box Teater, Avant Garden, BIT Teatergarasjen and for her stage design for Build me a Mountain by Verk Produksjoner AKA Verk Productions, co-produced by Black Box Teater.

With choreographer Ingri Fiksdal, Signe Becker won Norwegian Critics' Award for dance 2013/2014 for Hoods, Black Box Teater.

Anette Therese Pettersen said the following, among other things, on behalf of Norwegian Critics' Association during the award ceremony:

"Fiksdal and Becker both have made their marks in their respective fields, but in the projects they have made together - and particularly in Hoods - it has become increasingly difficult to see where the limits between stage design and choreography go.

Hoods is a kind of hybrid between installation and performance, in which the audience is clad in the same burqa-like colourful costumes as the performers. In addition, the rows of seating have been removed, so that performers and spectators are in a room without visible divides. Hoods is a meditative and evocative performance posing questions about what dance is - and at the same time it provides several suggestions. It is an immersive experience in which dance comes from within and outside at the same time."

Signe Becker, Tilo Hahn and Mia Melinder were nominated for The Hedda Award 2016 in the best stage design/costume design category for their stage design and costume design for Cosmic Body (Ingri Fiksdal in collaboration with Black Box Teater, BIT Teatergarasjen, Teaterhuset Avant Garden, the apap network, BUDA Kortrijk and MDT Stockholm 2016).

Signe Beckerwas nominated for The Hedda Award 2019 in the best stage design/costume design category for her work on We, the People.
